It delivers uncompressed video, with a choice of h. That part is system dependent though, and on my PC I was only given the option of mbps as a maximum.
What it does is deliver all of that without breaking a sweat. The actual physical unit is incredibly simple, albeit loaded up to the gills with RGB but also thoughtfully designed. And it seems to do a tremendous job keeping everything cool.
You can feel a slight warmth around the edges after longer sessions, but nothing even as hot as your phone would get after some intense gaming.
All the ports are located on one side, making it neat and easy to implement into your setup without having to worry about cables flapping about everywhere. And all you get are the essentials. The effect on your PC is also, well, virtually non-existent. Running a capture at the maximum settings I was allowed on my PC, I observed no noticeable impact on either CPU or GPU load and as soon as the recording is stopped the file is right there, ready to go.
So how good does the video look? I wish I could show you the RAW files without any form of online compression because the footage looks insane. One thing to remember is that these files are huge. Compute4Less Corp. Technology Galaxy.PS : I am running Windows 8. That should be it! This was at least what I was having problems with when first trying it out, so hopefully adding the steam engine was all it took for your AVerMedia capture card to work with OBS as well. Hey again, i found the source of the problem and solved it. For some reason Google Chrome was using the capture card and that prevented it from being visible again, so all i did was quit Google Chrome and use the task manager to end all its tasks, and now it works every time.
Hi, I can not set my stream engine to work properly. Every time I close stream engine I get a message that the program crashed and is not working any more. Can anyone help please? That was a commen bug I also experienced in Windows 8.
I ignored the crash error message and sometimes I could get in there and edit, but it always crashed after closing. The settings I changed did save however and as long as the settings are the same as in OBS and Stream Engine it should still work.

In the Avermedia REcentral 2 application, audio is picked up perfectly fine, but in OBS, I can't get any audio from the capture card into my recordings or stream unless I select output audio to desktop.
I can't find a way for the audio to simply be captured alongside the video as its own source. The only option I found was to click the box that said "use custom audio device" but the only option there was my laptops microphone. I can't find the capture card in the list of audio recording devices I have in windows I don't want to have the game audio output through my speakers, I only want it output through the streams and recordings that I make.
I plan to be streaming bigger events in the coming months and I need to improve the quality drastically. Adrian Schofield Member. OK I'm not sure what is going on here. By default with capture cards the audio only goes to the stream or the recording you can't hear it in the desktop audio device. If you switch to output desktop audio then the audio from the capture card gets mixed in to your desktop audio device.
So what happens when you leave it at the default Capture Audio Only? It sounds like from your first post that you don't get any audio, is this because you are watching the video in Windows Media player?
If so you need to use VLC from videolan.
I watched your video and the level is very low what setting were you using for that recording? Adrian Schofield said:. OK first things first, do you see a level in the mixer for each of your audio sources? The audio that corresponds to the audio from my game is only active under desktop audio. I named the capture card source "game" and there's an audio source called "game" but nothing is ever active under that audio source.
OK so you changed the audio output on your capture card properties from capture only to output to desktop so you can hear the audio on the streaming PC?
Switch it back to capture only and let me know if you see a level on game like that. There is an audio source listed in the mixer that corresponds to the game capture card, but no audio is displayed, unlike the microphones which do display audio being captured. If you are reading this message, Please click this link to reload this page.
